The school library plays a great role in the life of students by serving as the store house of knowledge. The importance of a library in a school cannot be over emphasized. While the role of the school library remains constant, its design, digital platform, strategies and tools could change as technology changes. School libraries help to: 1. Impact positively on the academic achievement of the students. Students can perform better during examination by reading various books. 2. Facilitate the work of the classroom teacher and ensures each student has equitable access to resources, irrespective of home opportunities or constraints. 3. Mostly students wants an easy access to the books for borrowing but sadly to the present, UC- Main Library still follows the old manual process. To be able to borrow books at the library, students need to secure 2x2 picture and study load to register. Once approved, student may borrow the book be physically present themselves at the school librarian, which is already very inconvenient knowing the modern technology that we have right now. To have an online book borrowing system will be very beneficial to students and to the library staff as well. Knowing that most of the students in the campus if not UC Scholars are self supporting, this system will help them manage most of their times from being present at the library to just be active online, register and borrow books via online borrowing. This system helps take some of the workload off of librarians and other staff members in the areas of acquisitions, cataloging and circulation, which in turn allows them to better serve us students. This extra time can lead to more programs being facilitated in the library and make library staff available to answer reference questions and help people who having trouble researching or finding the right information. Statement of the problem Libraries are nests, which thatch scholarship but libraries are not themselves automatically valuable to users, Users need to be motivated to see the real worth of a library. There are variousS resources available both in print and electronically the main 33 purpose of these resources will be fulfilled only if the users are able to locate these information sources effectively. Hence, the true worth of the library will be made.
Coming to this era of technological development the forms of resources has been distinctively transformed from printed books and journals to various electronic forms.
